After years of a new business stalemate in Snoqulamie, it seems each time a run an errand I notice another business setting up camp in Snoqualmie or something under construction. Yesterday was no exception.
There is a new hair salon going in the Kimball Creek Village Retail Center – the small block of stores across from the Snoqualmie Fire Station. In the coming days, Lula Ruby Salon should be starting tenant improvements on their new space next to Edward Jones on Better Way.
Years ago this spot was a wine and cigar store, but has been sitting empty for at least a couple of years. A current employee of Snoqualmie Ridge’s Acacia Salon says the owner of Lula Ruby was once an Acacia employee and specializes in organic hair care products.
As we told you last month, all that construction on the corner of Center Blvd and Snoqualmie Parkway (across from Key Bank) is the foundation work for Chase Bank’s new Snoqualmie branch. According to the City of Snoqualmie Planning Director, Nancy Tucker, Chase plans to open the branch in February 2013.
Dr. Jason Green comes this way from his Bellevue practice, an office he opened and ran for his former employer. He is originally from Eastern Washington and developed an interest in chiropractics (focused on the nerves in the spine) after a soccer injury. During his chiropractic sessions for the soccer injury, he discovered it also helped his asthma. He says he’s been inhaler-free for 10 years now. His wife is also a chiropractor specializing in pediatrics. She will join the new practice 1-2 days per week. There will also be a massage therapist at the new office.
Dr. Green says he’s excited to become part of the Snoqualmie Valley community. In an effort to meet community members, he’s hosting monthly wine tastings at Uncorked Wine Bar in Snoqualmie. The next wine events happens tomorrow, November 1st, at 6:30PM. Space is limited for so if you’d like to attend, please RSVP to 206-817-2161.
My wife received services (cut and color) from the owner of Lula Ruby. Her hair looked so healthy and beautiful. She is so excited for Lula Ruby to open!
